Kazumasa Mizokami was born in 1958 in Arita, Japan. There he learned to work with terracotta from his parents. In 1982 he travelled to Mexico, where he taught sculpture until 1987, and the following year he moved to Italy. In 1992 he graduated from the Brera academy of fine arts (Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera) in Milan/Milano. He now resides and works in Milano, Italy. In 2011 Visconti Fine Art collaborated with Mizokami and held an exhibition of his objects and installations, called “A flower is a flower, is a flower”, one piece of which became a permanent installation in our gallery.
